First spell

Here we go. This is officially my first picture to start out the new year, and it just *had* to feature drow. >:3<br />

The Neko half of the duo known as NekoAndManga wanted a picture of herself drawn as a drow mage. Now I know from experience that people don't translate well to dark elves, since I firmly believe that the vast majority of drow have dark skin, white hair, and red eyes. And Neko's defining traits appear to be long brown hair and green eyes. Heh. Oh well. I tried.<br />

I went for something cute and innocent, and maybe just a little bit clueless. Something like a little dark elf mage trying out a spell for the first time, and she isn't quite sure that it will work. The eyes are *huge* - that's definitely something I don't do that often. Oh well. At least it's cute. Everything I do ends up being cute. o_o;<br />

I didn't realize this would end up so wildly colorful. Should have made it tye-dye while I was at it. X3 It's an excuse to use up my orange colored pencils, I suppose. My sister suggested adding a bright green and blue background, but I restrained myself. The skin came out a lot lighter than usual too - she's more of a gray elf than a dark elf. o_o; Oh well. Like it? Comments appreciated!
