Con Fever

Eh, so this isn't quite a self-portrait, but they don't seem to have a category for that under anime/manga. I drew this right after going to Anime Boston, when I was still on my 'con high'. It was a really good con, and people liked my costume, so I was very very happy. :B

Anyway, I drew three versions of myself. The leftmost is me in my Sheila costume. She's a witch from the series Mahou Shoujo Tai Alice. The costume was my best one yet, and people took pictures of me, even if they didn't know who I was dressed as, so that was super exciting. The center figure is me dressed up for the rave on Saturday night. Last year, there were tons of kids in their Hot Topic raver outfits, so I thought I'd fit in this time around. Boy, was I wrong. Everyone was in somewhat more normal clothes, so I think I stuck out a bit. Whoops. Oh well, I still had a ton of fun, *plus* some people complimented me on my dancing. Whee! X3 The figure on the right is me the day after the con, wearing my oversized Kaiju Big Battel sweatshirt. It's kind of the most comfortable thing ever and I love it a lot. That version of me looks a bit weird though because I tried to draw my hair longer (haven't gotten it cut since last July), and it just doesn't look like me anymore! I'm so used to drawing myself with short hair. D:

Hm, anyway, this picture was amusing to me. Still is, even. Anime conventions are made of win and fun.
