The Ace of Clubs

Here we have the ace of clubs - an aviator with a nail bat. Rindi is a horrible person when it comes to puns. Even though the left arm sucks sucks sucks and is truly horrible and awkward-looking, I still like the end result. The color scheme is actually semi-cohesive for once, and this is the first time I've used this kind of skin tone. I really like dark-skinned characters, but all of mine are drow, so I'm usually working with gray or really dark brown or blue instead of more, uh, realistic dark skin tones.

My favorite part is probably the fluffy trim of the jacket. It wasn't super-hard to do, and I think it came out looking pretty nice. Some people have told me that my art is starting to look 'professional'. Whatever that means, ha ha. There are sooooo many amazing artists out there that I'll never be able to measure up to, but I must say that I'm rather pleased with my progress in CG useage. Now, if only I could learn how to draw and shade fabric properly!
