Description

Straight from Pocky and Rocky, it's Pocky! Also known as Sayo-chan, this is one of my favorite characters and games from the Taito repertoire. Back in high school, I used to send artwork to Bub n Bob.com. a great site for Taito games that's unfortunately defunct now. This is remastered artwork from that site, updated with all my usual techniques.

Thanks! Yeah, those games were a great combination of top-down movement and 2D action, and Pocky was a really fun character. More Pocky art is on the way. Thanks! It's actually a shrine maiden's outfit, like what Rei sometimes wears in Sailor Moon. It can be pretty indistinguishable from a samurai outfit, though.
