Gerard Portrait

This is a portrait of Gerard way, it took me about 2 months to finish because I did it in my art class, the way it's painted is a style of some painter I cant remember XD what i did was found a pic of Gerard on the computer and I put a grid on it then I took a water color paper and put an identicle grid on it then I went and drew the features in the boxes as identicly as I could then I painted it lol it sounds easy but its really hard and this is a pretty half assed pic but my mom loves it! she's getting it framed on my b-day which is January 30th! I'm gonna be 15 whoo!
EDIT!: I have remembered the name of the painter, this painting is made to look like Chuck Close's self portraits and portraits of others!
