Shikari is NOT Dawnstar.

Shikari has a second form where her skin is replaced by a insectoid outer carparace. She used it for fighting and for flying in deep space. So while she was often compared with Dawnstar, putting her in the older character's costume only underscored that she was NOT a replacement.
