LSH = the Legion of SUBSTITUTE Heroes!

The Legion has a long and glorious history. It also has a long and ridiculous one. <br />

Case in point: the tradition of Legion Tryout Day, where hundreds of teen undergo auditions to join the team. Imagine American Idol with super powers and you've got the idea.<br />

Well, some of the rejects didn't quit trying and formed their own Legion of Substitute Heroes despite their less-than-stellar abilities. For example, Fire Lad's flame breath was too uncontrollable and not as versatile as Sun Boy's; Chlorophyll Kid's power over plants was of dubious use; Polar Boy's ice powers were too weak; Night Girl's super strength faded in light; Stone Boy was inert in his stone form (unlike the far more durable Ferro Lad). So the Subs, despite their spirit, were long relegated to joke character status. Over the years, many of the Subs came into their own, though.<br />

I decided to draw the founding Subs as if they were a totally badass team.
