Archery Practice

In a softer memory from his childhood, Atemu remembers one particular afternoon...

"Seti! Atemu! The servants have evening meal on the table! Come inside!" Akhenamkanen calls, smiling when he hears the playful bickering between the two half-brothers.

"Couldn't you have found a smaller bow for me, elder brother?" Atemu mutters, as he glares at the longbow he has in hand.

"Well, brother mine, I didn't exactly want to face Siamun with the charge of making you get behind in your studies...and archery is part of that, don't forget." Seti chuckles, as Atemu shifts his glare from the bow, to him.

"You'd better watch out, in case you end up with a scorpion in your bed." Atemu grumbles, as the setting sun casts a golden glow on the courtyard.


(I know that I didn't color the background in, and the saying about the sunset doesn't make much sense; but please, for now, use your imaginations, folks. I'll probably post another 'memory' soon, and it will have a background...or at least an attempt at one....I promise!)
