And back into the Matsumoto-style I go, lol. (and with yes, another OC! ^ ^;;; )
The idea for this guy came about when I was re-reading one of the older RPGs on Wolf Planet (On The Run) when the image and backstory for him emerged. He is also a former Solar Federation captain who, even though his planet lost in the end, continued fighting despite that.
Okay, he now has a name! Franz Gerwulf (and a BIG thanks goes to silvereye for that!)
Originally a captain in the Solar Federation, he'd also come from Harlock's homeland (but he isn't a part of the family, despite his uncanny resemblance to Harlock...). His ancestors had sworn allegiance to the Pirate Knight, thus there is a great deal of loyalty and friendship between the two clans. Franz came about his partial 'Harlock Scar' in a fencing accident (or, not quite an accident, since even then, Darghund held a grudge against Harlock...and considering the governor's actions towards Black Jack, later on). He was also originally supposed to have married Mia, Isaak's mother, but, before they could do so, the First Illumidas War reached earth. When the earth fell, he refused to surrender his ship and crew to his sworn enemies, and with the agreement of his crew, they flew even deeper into space; becoming outlaws themselves.
The flag that flies over his ship is that of the 'Walking Death' (a skeleton carrying a broadsword), with a wolf carrying a spear behind it. (His last name, by the way, means 'Spear-Wolf'). This is also his family crest.
Please be kind in the comments, please!

It's more likely that Franz will take Isaak under his wing (especially when he hears of how Isaak had been treated by Darghund, after Mia's death). Also I'd imagine he'd feel very guilty about not having been there to prevent either Mia's death, or the abuse Isaak had suffered, yet very proud of what kind of man Isaak had turned out to be.
I never came around to comment this one so I will do it now.
Fantastic work! he is an amazing OC with a great story.. one question though.. when he meets Harlock and the others... how on earth will the meting between Franz and Isaak go? seeing how Isaak should have been his son? will he take him in or.....
