Live Long and Prosper!

A wacky artwork I did a while ago,
for an Halloween event, (but never posted here).

I post it now as a tribute to Leonard Nimoy.
Nimoy was known for his role as Spock in the original Star Trek series.

Traditional artwork.

Painted in watercolours (Sennelier) on paper.

Sketch drawn with a Derwent pencil.
The outlines were then drawn again with a felt pen:
Sakura pigma micron fineliner 08 (0,5 mm).

(framed in Photoshop)

TeeJay87I've heard that Nimoy died yesterday of COPD http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chronic_obstructive_pulmonary_disease .

Pity this had to happen, I liked him for his roles as Spock and Galvatron in "Transformers: the Movie" from 1986 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Transformers:_The_Movie

SaltwaterI liked him as "Spock" of course;
and also as "Paris"  in "Mission : impossible".

TeeJay87I've found couple of clips with Nimoy's voice acting in the movie:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z9xbI5a1ilk - Nimoy's voice begins at 1:40

TeeJay87That's Orson Welles as Unicron (the robotic planet) in the first and last clip.

Many consider this film as bad one, but at least it has some decent voice acting and soundtracks. :)

TeeJay87I can tell, some voice actors really have talent for their job. Another example is Greg Berger https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tHSe3F4WrzQ - would you believe he's the voice of Odie from Garfield cartoons and Grimlock from original G1 Transformers ?

There's something in his voice, when he plays the latter https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BtGdfulu5KI ( the one, who begins almost every quote with "Me Grimlock..." ) which makes me chuckle while watching the cartoon. xD

SaltwaterI looked at your links, and a bit more...

And I noticed that all the voice actors make really funny faces when they start using their "special" voice.  LOL
