a Ladies' Man

Any resemblance to an actual person, living only to poison the lives of millions of poor souls, might not be  purely coincidental.

alitta2I'm curious what kind of woman would love an old commie like him XD

SaltwaterPlenty of women, as a matter of fact!
Lousy politicians, bad journalists, lousy actresses....
And much more....
Some women are not very picky, to say the least!  LOL

alitta2Well, serving the Communist Party for many years can be profitable for some with a high position, so yeah, at least his assets may be seductive for some women XD

SaltwaterYes, you are absolutely right!
Those commies from the "Nomenklatura" always managed to have plenty of privileges.

Communism  extolls  "equality"    LOL
It means poverty for all, the little people,
and privileges for the leaders,
or those who have some kind of power (even very tenuous) at all levels.
Such an hypocrisy!

SaltwaterThis being said, on second thought,
I am not sure that you know who is this fat ball.

Let's say that he is the socialist president of a prominent European country. LOL

alitta2Lol, didn't know that he's actually based on a real person :D
I'd thought he's just a stereotypical depiction of a high ranked party member, especially because he reminds me those old "chinovniks" from the socialist era of my homeland (for example this guy on the left side from the most cultic Hungarian television series, who plays here a former functionary of the party, but since the political change he cannot do anything notable and therefore falls back upon having the same job of his collegues: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6ZfC3ZjReQU ) :D
Just look at his face! If you added a pair of glasses on him, he would exactly look like this commie fella in this pic XD

Saltwaterfrom the seies:"Szomszédok"

Yes, they look similar  :D
Why do all these old commies always look so ugly?  LOL

alitta2ah, yes, I forgot the title :D Anyway, it means "Neighbours", and it refers to the set of the story which was around  a zone of building estates in Gazdagrét (a district of Budapest).
Today it is considered to be the most cultic Hungarian series ever thanks to the realistic lifestyle-depiction of the real habitants of this zone, and of course the slip-ups during several scenes :D
As it was aired between 1987-1999, it also serves as a documentation of the late 20th century for those, who were born around that time or after.

SaltwaterLike the series "Derrick" in Germany...
It depicts very well a certain area at a certain time.
Horst Tappert was a very famous actor.

alitta2Yes, nowadays they air the series on a Hungarian channel, especially my brother watches it, but me as well :)

SaltwaterI have seen many episodes of Derrick.
In the series we can see that the policemen are wearing the traditional khaki/green uniforms.

Nowadays in Western Europe,  everything is standardized, alas, due to some crazy EU regulations.
Whether they are in Munich or Berlin, in London or in Paris,
the policemen are all wearing a kind of dark blue uniform.....
