TeeJay87It's based on this one http://cultured.com/images/image_files/2864/9451_o_paul_cezanne_self_portrait.jpg , right ?

I prefer your version, since it has better-looking tones of colours; original one has such a cold atmosphere with tones Cezanne used.

SaltwaterYes, and generally I would use the original just for "inspiration",
with my own style and very often with a different technique.
For example, here the original is in oils on canvas, mine is in oil pastels on cardboard.
So, by all means, the result is bound to be different.
Furthermore, I have simplified the background and used a warmer palette of colours.

Thank you very much.  ;-)

alitta2Awesome! I hadn't seen the original before (yeah, my bad), but now I've just compared this one with it, and I must say that your version looks better, thanks to the more vivid colors you've chosen.

SaltwaterThank you very much! :D

I have chosen a warm and earthy palette of colours.
In fact rather similar to the palette that Cézanne used for his landscapes. :-)

luotakuluThis is a very nice drawing. I bet it looks exactly like the person. (I don't even know what he looks like; never even heard of him TBH...)
