This is for a fanfic called Life by the Sword that I'm writing with my friend. We combined medeval times with samurai, and our animals are all crossbreeds. ((It's an alternate universe we created))

Very loyal, but playful. He makes a great guard at night. Usually shrinks small enough to lay on Satomi’s shoulders so he’s hidden under her hair and out of sight. He understands speech and learned a way to convey his thoughts to Satomi, fiercely protective.
