Recharging

As the name suggests, this is a lightning gryphon having a little snooze. As it sleeps, it produces storm clouds that come out from the pores in its head and neck area.

The spikes that run along it's back act like multiple lightning rods that extend at this time, otherwise it is like the fur and is down for the most part. Lightning jumps from the clouds and are conducted onto the spikes (which of course lead back to the body). Hence the concept of the creature recharging.

Loved the idea of giving this one a little bit of thought, and more wok like this will follow. This one took two and a half days, namely because of the copious cross hatching.
