One of those matches I think would be dead cute, but don't have a story for. <3 Rip would definitely fall for "classic" Amy's tomboy charm, and Amy wouldn't be intimidated by Rip's sometimes cold shoulder. And once you do make it to Rip's heart, you can count on having a place there permanently.
(Besides which, I like to pair off grouchy characters with cheerful ones. And maybe she'd drag Rip out in the sunlight some, which would only do her good.)
