Unmasked

After suddenly being ambushed and defeated at the city of Gui Fant, Athrun Zala, the co-commander of the Coordinator Coalition, a force under the Universal Alliance, is captured and brought before the infamous leader of the Midnight Faction, Lord Sirius Viicous. It is here that the Phantom Lord reveals his true identity. After laying his eyes upon the face of Lord Sirius Viicous, Athrun is shocked as what he sees. But is his reaction a result of the physical form of the Phantom Lord's identity, or is it that there is some ironic form of familiarity behind it? Athrun is one of the first and possibly the last to see the true face of Sirius Viicous. This is a scene from the upcoming chapters of my fanfic "Final Confrontation."
