The face in the Mirror

I see a face in the mirror, Staring back at me. It is my reflection, I wonder, "How can this be? I'm so young and full of life, No care in the world. Free from worry and strife, The face in the mirror is cold. Staring back at me is myself, As others see me. No wonder why others hide, Just like I hide myself from me. My eyes the color of the sea, My hair the color of hay. I look so cold and ruthless, That can't be me, no way. Why is the weight of the world, Like huge boulders? A heavy burden, On untrained shoulders. That face in the mirror, Can't be me. It's so restless, And pained. Reality, Maybe it is. Perhaps, It could be, No way.....I have come to the stunning realization, That restless face in the mirror, That sad, tourtured face chained to pain, Is me.
