okay, this pic has quite a story...
if you've seen my previous works, you should know i was working on a fully coloured anthro sephiroth.
and i actually was working really hard! i took hours just to find the basic colours i'd use, let alone all the degrees of shadow and light...
everything was going just fine, and sephiroth was coming more alive at every stroke of the shading brush. then bad luck stroke me that day...
i was saving a JPEG version, to show my sister how was it going, but instead i saved the actual PSD document! it means, i spoiled the hard work of days, dozens of layers, each with a certain shadow or light tone, almost ready for being blurred and bring Sephiroth to life...
i was heart-broken... i wasn't able to draw that day and the next day... i nearly cried of frustration! T_T
but i got over it, and decided to do what i still could to save his honour... i just added a few shines on the hair and, here it is. -_-
just so you know, this version is TINNY compared with the original, and the quality is really poor...
maybe one day i'll gatter the courage to re-line it and re-colour it from scratch, but for now, it stays that way.
first sketch done on paper, then photoshop and tablet re-lined, improved and coloured.
time taken: countless hours of patient colouring work. just the lines took me around 24 hrs...
references: a popular picture of Crisis Core's Sephiroth, mainlly because of his clothes.

for those who wonder how can such a pic take so long to be finished:
- the original sketch was so *sketchy* that it didn't even had legs, so i had to do them from scratch. the only thing i really took from it was the expression.
- i always make AT LEAST 3 layers for whatever drawing i do, one for the original, another for the improved-but-still-sketchy version, and a last one for the finished and perfectly clean lines. but, between the second and the third layers, DOZENS can come... no kidding, this guy's lines, only, had more than 20 layers, the first 10 were all sketchy, the last 10 were for the different body parts (like, one for the body, one for the head, one for the hair, one for the sword, and so on)
- i'm always *and i mean ALWAYS* unhappy with the results. always. that's why i keep re-lining my pics over and over again, even if they already seem perfect to anyone else. there's always something that can be fixed!
- lastly, the colouring takes me countless hours because i suck at it. and i also use dozens of layers for it, each with a particular shade tone. that takes ages!
i meant no offense to anyone, i'm just trying to justify my immense slowness! -_-'
