PRINCESS PEACH YET AGAIN.<br />
<br />
I drew this for the Otakon 2004 art auction- I wanted to work on a character that people would RECOGNIZE, but who wouldn't necessarily be on every other picture on the Show. Princess Peach seemed like the logical choice.<br />
<br />
Now, character chosen, I wanted to do something with her that nobody else had really explored before. So I encased her in iron and gave her a killer parasol and a noble armored Yoshi to ride. Bam, Warrior Princess.<br />
<br />
Okay, so it wasn't THAT simple. See, when I go to Otakon, I usually hang out with a group of other artists who sell things on Artist Alley every year. We're all friends and such, so I'll usually cover for them if they ever want to jump up and get snacks or use the bathroom or catch a show or something. So this year, I figured that if I was gonna be spending most of my time at the table ANYWAY, I might as well sell my own stuff.<br />
<br />
Well, Otakon changed a couple of rules for Artist Alley this year; groups could purchase no more than four tables for their exclusive use. In the past, this meant two spots for artists to sit at, which meant eight of us could sell prints. Problem is, there were TWELVE of us who wanted to sell. So we all agreed to make a single poster-sized print of our best/most current work, then put our portfolio directly underneath so people could flip through it, and each table would have one or two people selling art for everyone at that table.<br />
<br />
Problem is, well- take a look at the rest of my gallery, and you'll quickly realize that damn near everything I've done lately is not suitable for certain audiences. So I cooked up this brand-new pic fora poster. Made two prints of it- one for the Alley, and one for the Art Show. The Art Show print went for $130, and I just sold the Alley print of it last week for $60. Combined with the $15 a guy paid for the version I had as my portfolio cover sheet, I made a grand total of $210 off this one picture, which is the most quite possibly the most silly thing in the universe.

Very good job. I personaly would never sell my art, unless I was doing it for a living. I like how you drew her not half naked. I also like the good job you did on yoshi's armour, the umbrella, and the pipe's cracks. I like how you shaded everthing! Good job. If you weren't on my fav list, I would add you again. Instead, I'll add the pic itself. What a concept. Great job!!!

Wow! I've nevr been a Peach fan, but it brings back fond memories of my Super Mario World days! I love your attention to detail- not just in the costumes, which are incredible, by the way, but the question mark blocks, the smiling clouds, even the fastener on the umbrella and the crack on the cannon- simply incredible! Nice work on all that cash ;) I'm starting to sell a few of mine off, too, but I hate losing them -.-
