Symbolic *For Black Breeze*

I finally finished this piece... *keels over* I went through at least six different sketches before coming up with this. And it still doesn't look quite right. Should've used traditional mediums. <br />

Anyway. There's LOTS of symbolism in this. Eshe's clothes are primarily rich blues--a very expensive dye only the pharoah could afford. She's holding a lotus, which was a big symbol for the Egyptians. Eshe's missing eye symbolizes how she's partially blind to Ryes and the plans he's a part of. Ryes is holding the ribbons tied to her manacles because he's controlling her to some extent, as her tutor. The ribbons are ribbons and not rope to express a certain softness towards Eshe despite the fact. They're red for blood. Whee. Mind screw. And Ryes eyes are the exact same color as Eshe's clothing.<br />
