I'm pretty sure they are NOT cousins. Ed calls Winry's grandma ''auntie'' in respect.(probably cause he's known her for a long time). And besides, in the anime at the end of a certain episode Al and Ed talk about that when they we're little they used to fist fight over alot of things, and they said they ALSO fought about which one of them was going to marry Winry.
