I wish I had written down the date for this one.
My little sister really wanted me to draw something that she could bring to school to show off to her friends (this is years ago) so I drew her Princess Serenity. I believe this was an original pose that I got some inspiration from a picture of Princess Serenity standing in water.
I drew this after I found Cardcaptor Sakura because I started to use ruffles and folds in clothing that I hadn't used before. And I drew this around the same time I drew the Molly and Anthony picture because I liked that "fire" flower that was so popular at the time.

Oh! And I got a new scanner! The picture isn't fed into the scanner anymore! Now I get to just put it under the lid and it scans it! So happy. It doesn't scan light penciling very well; so, I had to darker the image (a lot) for anything to show up.

Rurouni_Gemini83A .005 inking pen would work wonders for this (and help it show up a little better in the scanner, too)

Your earliest artwork looks a whole lot better than my first attempts did (to say that my earliest works would give people nightmares is an understatement! I actually shuddered when I looked at them again after several years had past! ^ ^;;)

As far as the inking pen I had mentioned is concerned, you can also find that at Michaels as well (it should be in the same aisle as the colored pencils. The company that makes them I think is called 'Sakura' and they make the 'Micron' pens. The outer casings of the pens are usually tan in color, and have the size of the pen's tip printed there)

I hope I'm not being too much of a pest! ^ ^;;;

ShukuchanNo, no, you're not being a pest all. Any criticism(sp?) or advice is a good thing.
I ink all of the work that I want to scan now. This drawing was so long ago that I wanted to keep the originality of it.
And also, this fanart and the "A Kiss for Molly" drawing were done a few years after I first started drawing. I have some of those as well; although, I was trying to find the Sailor Moon one that I drew when I first got into drawing, then drew again a few years later, and then drew a third time a year or two ago (I think) but I can't find that binder. I plan on scanning some of my old pieces just for kicks. I posted these two because they were actually pretty good. The shuddering over earlier works is something I definately understand.
