This is actually my entry for a dragon contest held by EternalDarknessWaitsForDawn. The dragon's name is Borealis, and together he and his twin sister Aurora create the northern lights (aurora borealis). I've had them in my head for a while, along with a matching song, i just didn't think i could draw them. I feel i went over the top of my expectations, very surprising for me, and i think i will draw more things with color lines sometime. It gives the drawing a softer feel.

Anyhow, the other thing needed for the contest is a personality, so..:

Borealis is somewhat shyer than his sister, and prefers to keep to himself. He does most of the co - ordination for getting the northern lights to look the way they should. He spends most of the year slumbering inside a hollow glacier and dreaming. He can fly very fast without wings, and could probably keep immense concentration even if bagpipes were playing in his ear.

That's all i can think of right now, should be enough though

Takita_9Yeesh! Bagpipes!  I know you're from Scotland but if you like those things you're wackier than Daffy Duck.
