Fern and new coloring technique

Umm...I really messed up on this one. Sega characters aren't really my talent. I even forgot her tail, oopsies. The background is a mess as well. Nevertheless, she looks prettiful and shiny. The main point of this was to try out a new coloring technique, which turned out quite nicely I must say. I'm working on my coloring technique again. I have it just about figured out now. Fern is a rather original (or I thought so anyway) Sega OC. She popped up in a dream with a very unoriginal character whose name is still undecided. Fern is a plant, that most closely resembles a Sega style hedgehog. Anyhow...enjoy!
