Waiting for someone

Yaay! I finished it. I'm pretty pleased with how it turned out. I think I've finally got the hang of Photoshop coloring, though I've still a long ways to go. I was feeling bored earlier this week, and a little discouraged because I couldn't make a good lineart out of a cute sketch I'd done. Then I found a chibi Onyx head shot sitting around on my comp. It still looked just as cute as I remembered, so I decided to stop hating it for it's uber cuteness and finally do that Onyx Christmas pic I had wanted to do. It's a shame I didn't have the talent to do this earlier, or I may have been able to sell Christmas cards featuring it. For anybody who hasn't seen my picture of Onyx and her sisters, Onyx is a Sega OC of mine. Although I drew her more my style in this picture (don't underestimate the challenges of drawing a Sega dragon, blargh). She's also wingless in this version. I guess she's looking at somebody she wants to kiss under the mistletoe that glitter bug is holding up (I indeed adore the "glittery" brush). Don't ask me why, seeing as her and her sisters don't take any interest in romantic relationships. Anyway, enjoy!

Head sketched on MS Paint, the rest sketched on Photoshop. Lineart done in Photoshop. Coloring done in Photoshop and is a mixture of gradient shading, cell shading, and painting. Background was intended for transparency, but GIF slaughtered the picture, so PNG it was.
