Another labor of love for my Harlock obsession. Taken from the cover art of the comic book "Deathshadow Rising", original in pencil, this version, however is inked and approximately 24x36 in size, about 18 hours work in total with shadowing and reinking. Harlock in the foreground with the shadow of his former ship the Deathshadow in the backgound. The lettering, however, is all my own. Captain Harlock and all icons associated therewith, including the Deathshadow is (c) to Reiji Matsumoto, no copyright is intended or implied.

Rurouni_Gemini83I have the comic book that was the inspiration for this piece! (And the others as well, including the ones by Ben Dunn). ^ ^;;

As I'd said in your other artwork, you can indeed tell that this was a labor of love! Are you going to submit any more Harlock fanarts? I certainly hope so!

Keep up the awesome work!

SkyWarpStudiosThank you 357 for your comment. As to why the image is so small here...well, I can't say - on my hard drive it's MASSIVE - it could just be the size this site allowed for such an image (original dimensions are well over 1000 on each). Truthfully not much has been lost resoultion wise, if you would like to see a larger image of this, let me know and I will be more than happy to send you a link to another gallery where I have it posted where it SHOULD be larger. I am glad, however, that you like it. It is one of the crown pieces of my Harlock artwork. Now I just need to get decent shots of my other ones and post them! :-D Be sure to check out the other Harlock work I have here - For What Price Freedom. It may have a little problem with glare from the way it was shot, but it's still decent looking (in my *cough* humble *cough* opinion. Thanks again for the comment!

357That´s really cool, but why in the hell is it so damn small?!? o_O What´s the point in spending 18 hours to a pic, and then submit it at this kind of resolution which looses all the details...? ^_^ Anyway, I like it, just can´t stand these small resolutions...
