The Angels You Need

This is an illustration piece I did for the AU fan fiction "The Angels You Need" by Mary Borsellino and Te. The AU explores what would happen if Jason Todd had lived but Bruce Wayne, Dick Grayson, Barbara Gordon, and Commisioner Gordon had all died. Jason Todd becomes Batman, Tim Drake is still Robin but has cybernetic implants that make him virtually a cyborg, Stephanie Brown becomes Batgirl, and Cassandra Cain is the Spoiler.

I did these in the style of face cards in a deck (the Spades, if I remember correctly). I was originally going to add a background in on the computer (that's why they all have a "border" around them), but I liked it so much the way it was that I left it blank (who knows, I may do something with it yet). Doing all the blacks was a lot of fun, though I think my favorite is the Tim one, which I thought about getting tattooed on my back for a long time.
