Reach Out

Sorry for the gray tint. The original for this was way too big for my scanner, so I had to take a picture of it with my digital camera. The grey came out when I fiddled with it on the computer to get the colors right.<br />

The upper torso of the merman and the stringray are based off of a picture I took of a friend of mine when we all went snorkeling in Mexico. We followed this stingray for about 10 minutes, taking turns to swim down and touch it. It was very cool. The whole experience kind of inspired this picture, which is what I would imagine the merpeople of the Gulf of Mexico and the Caribbean to look like.
