Franz Schubert's "Erlkönig", from Goethe's poem, inspired me to draw this ^^ We had to listen to the song in school and I just thought "I've got to draw something about it!"
The song's story is this one: In the night a sick boy and his father travel on a horse towards their home, when suddenly the father notices his son is scared. The boy says the 'Erlkönig' (The King of Elves) is looking at him and talking to him . The father says he doesn't see anything and he tells his son he imagines it and it's only the fog he sees. The King of Elves tries to lure the boy towards him, saying they will play games and other good things. The boys gets more and more scared troughout the song and at the end the King of Elves has enough of it and says he will take him with force. The boy and the father arrive at home, the father carrying the child in his arms. The song ends with the message the child is dead... The King of Elves, who actually symbolizes Death has taken the boy after all.
It's a rather scary song O.o It deserves a scary pic, so here it has one! One of the King of Elves/Death himself ^^ Didn't feel like putting much effort in the colouring...
Hope you like it!
