Tsubasa

This is probably the first original picture I ever started, that at least turned into a real project and I'm more proud of this than any other--though this version doesn't do the original justice.

The original is now living with my sweet Bea. I drew it for her actually, as a gift just for, well, being. I started it probably about a year and a half ago, maybe longer and finished it just before Christmas but I didn't want to post it here without her permission since it is hers. I also wrote a story/poem that I may one day post as well...

I actually redrew this twice--it still looks the same as when I first drew it, but it's colored differently because when I first started coloring it, I had not learned much about shading and whatnot. Then when I came back to it and redrew it and recolored it I could see the MAJOR difference. >.<

I used a LOT of Clover pictures (CLAMP), as well as my Clover comics (CLAMP) and various "wing" pictures as references for the mechanical wings--Hyne those were a bi%$h to draw! I also deviated slightly from my own style of feather that I usually draw in this one--it needed to be different.

Also, the bg in the original is white--it has a forest green matte around it and is in a clipframe, so it looks way better. >.<
