One more picture I did before the big 100-pics-challenge.
Got myself a picture of Ewan McGregor as Obi-Wan and tried to portrait him as closely as I could manage.
... well, didn't turn out that close ... but still one of my better works, so I'm posting it up anyway.

Also my first try on oil paints since I stopped doing those paint by number thingies some years ago.
What can I say - Oil rocks ;) There will be definitely more oil porträts soon!

Well, I do see a few things. His eyes are to big and the shape of his face isn't right. But then again, I have the photo lying right next to him. That makes it easier to spot mistakes ^^

You know, the funny thing is that I always believed oil paints were hard to handle. But they are actually so easy to use, that I'm beginning to wonder, why I bothered with acrylics for all those years.

Hehe, yeah. My grandma is a huge fan of him, though she doesn't understand a word of what he is saying.

I've seen them mostly with pros. Guess it scares people off, that you need turpenoid and oil instead of plain water ...
