Kagome for Kasei-no-Magami's Contest

this is a late submission i did for Kasei-no-Magami's contest. I don't even know if she'll except it, but at least i can try. It's been rejected and re-sized and rejected again for the past week, so if it gets rejected again, I'm going to be fairly ticked off. No one 'effs with me except myself...wait...what?
 
Anyway, it doesn't look quite like Kagome, but I'm glad with the result of it. I'm not use to drawing Kagome, but i think it looks good for a first try at her. I read the manga and watched the show for years and i have never, 'til about a week and a half ago, attempted to draw her...weird...
 
I like the sashes and the hair i blurred on photoshop to look a little more...i don't know...wild? Unruly? And i used the colored pencil layer on photoshop to make it look more...colorful...?

 editted: i just looked at this and realized that all the resizing totally killed the resolution of this picture. T_T that's somewhat depressing...
