Mountainside (1999)

Another one of my old drawings from 1999-2000, and the last one before I started working regularly in colored pencil medium.<br />
<br />
This was a drawing of a dragon climbing up a steep side of a mountainside, and discovering a small pair of drakes living near the summit.<br />
<br />
Like many of the drawings I made during the time, I drew it on whatever paper I had and this one was on the back of a weekly class handout from Art History, and some of it scanned through from the backside.<br />
<br />
I spent some time editing out the markings from the backside, but this time I've included a thumbnail of the unedited version for comparison.<br />
<br />
This is why paper is best drawn when blank on both sides....<br />
