Meet Shadow. This canine anthro is based on our remaining dog, one with that all-too-popular name.

Energetic and playful, Shadow is a definite water dog -- she just LOVES water. She'll lay outside in the rain, on wet grass, she'll play with water from the hose, she just likes getting wet, I guess.

Shadow and Sarge seemed to go everywhere together. Now that Sarge is gone, Shadow's our one remaining dog, with only the family and our cats for company. My sister says that she howled a lot when we took Sarge away, so you sorta wonder if she still misses him....

And this drawing sure taught me better than to think "how hard can it be to draw black?" Getting the right tint of black is actually pretty tricky, but I think I made it through fine, and her colors here are pretty accurate.

Medium: Ebony and colored pencil
Time: About 2-3 hours
Scale (full view): 60px/in

KFelidaeVery nice, Strata. The perfect mix of brown and red into the black. It definetly looks like fur. And I like how you kept the arms "long" compared to the body. It helps to make it look more canine.
