Description
I'm not sure what inspired this drawing. Maybe it was the sheer irony of crossing Transformers (one classic Hasbro toy line) with My Little Ponies (another classic Hasbro toy line).

Anyway, meet "Quasar" (it was tough to find a name that works for both a TF and MLP). I spent some time (and two half-sheets of paper) sketching out potential transformation schemes and details before sitting down and producing these final sketches. Quasar's color scheme is "Starry Night", in reference to the van Gogh painting, and also because I couldn't get that "Starry, Starry Night" song out of my head while designing him!

For those curious, Quasar's sword separates into two portions (blade and tail) for easier storage. The blade portion is stored on his back in pony form, and he can even draw and wield it in pony form too. Now, exactly how a quadroped pony would wield a weapon such as a sword, I leave that to your imagination.

Medium: Colored, ebony & 0.7mm pencil
Duration: About four hours
Scale: 50px/in
DUDE!! I'm a huge fan of Transformers and I don't even bother trying to create different transforming schemes!! I just let my imagination say, "Okay, kid. The arm folds like that, so you'll draw it this way and blah blah blah." XD Sweet stuff ya got there. Keep it up. WOOO!! Go .7mm mech pencils!!! ^o^

very ariginal. I like the pony part. But my friend Brook's little sis (5 yrsofage) was kinda phreaked out you mixed her fav toy with an "icky boy thing" and my friend Seth's little bro peter (5 too) was kinda phreaked out that you mixed his fav toy with and "icky girl thing".
After seeing this, *being the mechanical genius I am an' all(hehe)* Seth 'borrowed' one of his bro's transformers and I kinda reconfigured it to turn into a horish thing. Then Brook painted it to look like a pony. They, ( the 5 year olds ) were SO devastated, they klinged to each other for dear life and then ran off to tell their friends about their horrifying experiences.
You can give yourself a pat on the back for helping to set up the hottest new 'young' couple.
I'd do it for you, but I can't reach you from over here in Canada!

I've never seen a My Little Pony/ Transformer crossover. That's really original! But I do thank you for your criticism on my inked dragon battle. I don't know how to finesse the drawings on the scanner actually. That is the best I can do with the model of scanner that I have. But if you have some tips you could give me that would be wonderful!^^
