Description
As the title implies, I made this drawing during one boring lecture in Art 204 ("Art History") back in 1999, using pencil and standard notebook paper (I removed the lines, but you can still see the punch-holes). In fact, this is essentially the first dragon I ever drew!
There was a back-story behind this sketch, but it's rather long so I won't go into detail. The round "object" on the ground is in fact where the dragon's medallion (in her palm) was placed and torched (those are scorch marks on the ground).
It's fair to say that my technique has improved since that time five years ago. This holds a special place on my list of personal faves since it was my first. I drew it completely from imagination, using the PSX Spyro games as a sort of mental reference. So I guess I have Spyro to thank for my love of dragons. What would I be drawing today were it not for that....
