Plasma pistol schema (2003)

Virtually every Sci-Fi show and universe employs some form of plasma-based weapons. In that vein, here is a schematic for a type of plasma weapon that I drew up back in Fall 2003 on standard notebook paper (lines filtered out).

This is a basic polarized-plasma pistol, a standard weapon in my story Never Again. There is a switch on the back of the gun to determine the magnetic polarity of the plasma bullet fired -- this has no effect on the gun's firepower, but it changes how the bullet reacts to other magnetic fields. The pistol also features a master safety killswitch plus auto-sensors on the grip to prevent it from being fired accidentally. There are also many aftermarket mods and attachments that can be added to the pistol, such as rapidfire chargers, firepower modifiers, silencers, and so on.
