Description
The finished version of my latest dragon drawing, a fire dragon. Since I haven't drawn a full dragon in years, this drawing exemplifies all the creative decisions I've made about their characteristics, plus the experience and techniques I've developed since I started back in 1999. This is the third time I've drawn the scales in this fashion (easy, if time-consuming) and my first try at the wing-membrane texture shown. Of course, this drawing is not the end. Far from it; I plan to draw out the other four kinds of dragon I know of. It will be a small series of sorts, and this is the first.
Medium: Colored & 0.7mm pencil
Time: Four hours
Scale: 75px/in
PS: For those who asked, my dragons are generally gliders, rather than true flyers.

Now we enter the nitpicking. *picks a nit* Ooo, chocolate. =D<br />

The eye seems a bit high in the skull, almost like the rest of the eyeball would have nowhere to go. Remember that eyes generally sit rather low in the eye-sockets. Also, the wings look a bit small. Do the dragons fly by magic? Do they fly at all?
