In the 'Guardians of Ga'hoole series', it's mentioned that if an owl hatches under the light of an eclipsed moon, the hatchling has an enchantment put on it. The question is, is it a good or evil enchantment...?
The nest featured is that of a random owl species, since I wasn't being specific of what owl it could be at the time.
I actually did this picture weeks ago. I was waiting for a night that actually had a lunar eclipse (Feb. 20, 2008).

Very nice. I like the mystery of this picture, the way you really portrayed something about to happen. The moon and background are nicely painted and I like the glow of the egg. There's a bit of dust around the edges of the trees, it almost works as a nice effect but could stand to be blurred a little. Aside from that, nicely painted and timely image.
