I was helping my dad burn some wood and old papers recently, and I was inspired to draw this dragon. I had noticed these interesting black and white stripes, the burning paper edges, and everything else one can find in a burn barrel. I thought that the designs I found would make an interesting dragon species. The fire in the background is an actual photo where I got the inspiration (I really don't like using photos if I can help it; this was an exception). I ended up using more (as well as mostly)charcoal than I originally planned (not charcoal from this particular fire), but I used some color pencil and a little oil pastel as well.
