"Like a comet
Blazing 'cross the evening sky
Gone too soon
Like a rainbow
Fading in the twinkling of an eye
Gone too soon
Shiny and sparkly
And splendidly bright
Here one day
Gone one night
Like the loss of sunlight
On a cloudy afternoon
Gone too soon
Like a castle
Built upon a sandy beach
Gone too soon
Like a perfect flower
That is just beyond your reach
Gone too soon
Born to amuse, to inspire, to delight
Here one day
Gone one night
Like a sunset
Dying with the rising of the moon
Gone too soon
Gone too soon...."
I gotta say this was my best realism soo far even though it IS a silloute of hims. It was hard to choose what picture to draw of him, at first I decided to do the silloute you can see on my FAC pro pic but then I got an idea, put the other one I wanted INSIDE the silloute only have it white! That way I kill two birds with one stone and dont kill my hand drawing another hard realism xP Im very glad how it turned out, I was scared I'd goof on the nose or the mouth but really the only hard parts were his ponytail and that belt buckle thingy on his elbow. But yeah im impressed with myself that for a first drawing of the King of Pop it turned out awsome x3 Also I did this during MJ's memorial during the repeat of it, drawing it and shading it in during the commercial breaks. I guess putting my all into missing him helped it turn out good neh? xD -shot!-
If you have the heart, and/or patientice please continue reading on my thoughts about the fallen king of pop otherwise comment on how I did good on the pic and if I messed up on anything. However if you are here to just poke fun, turn your booty right around and shoo, cause I hate flamers and trolls, everyone knows this. xP
As I have said time and time again, I was born an 80s baby and will always be one. I love the legends like Bon Jovi, Whitesnake, HEART, Guns and roses, Slash the guitarist, Pat Benatar, Madonna, The Cars, Elton John, Alice Cooper, Poisen, KISS, and thousands of more legendary artists..however no one stood above the rest to me more than the one known as: The gloved one, The moonwalker, The Smooth Criminal, The king of Pop...Michael Jackson.
I grew up to this guy, dancing to "Billie Jean" when I was 5 or 6 yrs of age out on the dancefloor all alone at my Aunt B's wedding. I also remember having a hat somewhat like his and running into the room, hell bent on watching "Smooth criminal" running over my big brother when I heard that signature cry "Dow!" and busting out moves trying to copy his dance style. I remember squealing like crazy when I got alil older as I watched him rock and sway his hips to "Bad" and "Dirty Diana" and crying to "Will you be there?" as the angel came behind michael at that one concert and hugged him. I remember sitting on my bunk bed with my sister waiting for our called in requested video "Earth song" to come on VH1 and my sister freaking at the part with the baby seal and tearing up, one of few rare times I spent with her happily and to see her shed tears.
I remember cheering for joy when my cousin Ethan got me a book about Michael and when my mom got me all of his tapes, Moonwalker (I think thats the title, it has him in the 'smooth criminal' outfit on the cover), Dangerous, and History past, present, and future book 1. Sadly though my idiot sister lent the tapes to a friend and they never returned the videos. Dx
Though luckily I managed to get the best of his music finding the rarest of his CDs and NO I did not go running out grabbing the cds when I learned he passed away, I got these cds during January, Feb, and March of 2008. I first obtained the CD "Dangerous" (A VERY UBER rare CD to get over here!) at Gallery of sound in Bloomsburg A WEEK before the place closed down so that there was a stroke of luck. I then obtained "BAD" at CVS across the street at Feb. Lastly I got the eco friendly CD package of "Michael Jackson Number ones" at the same CVS in March after they ran out of the "BAD" cds. However I am DYING to get my hands on "History past, present and future book 1" since it obtains alot of my fav songs such as "Scream", "They dont care about us" and a few other classics.
This man was an inspiration to me, he helped me come out of my shell when it came to dancing, and over the year I was gone I listened to some of his tunes while drawing to kill my boredom. (I CANT draw while its quiet, it irks me plus music helps inspire me) Also I noticed something that surprised me. If you look at some of my pictures, you can see hints and glimpses of his fashion in my outfits. The buckled gloves from his "BAD" outfit can be seen in my "Teh smexah mad scientist", The buckles on the shoulders of the same costume can be seen on my Zeke picture "Perfect insanity", The buckles all over the pants can be seen on a few of my other pictures as well.
Also he was a sight to behold, his dancing, oh god it was electrifying! His feet moved like liquid. The moonwalk blows my mind everytime I see it. However MJ didnt invent this move he was taught it and put his own lil spin on it. But an even more amazing move, seen in 'smooth criminal' was the anti-gravity lean; that one my friends he invented. Along with the 'tip toes' move after his famous dizzying spin. It was such a shame to see this man go soo suddenly. But when you think about it, he passed away like the other legends of the world. The king of Rock and roll Elvis, Marlyn Monroe, Princess Diana, and Anna Nicole. He felt unloved and got addicted to painkillers, yet tried to make a comeback but poof! He was gone like a shooting star before he could make himself shine brighter than before. And he was proven wrong on thinking he was unloved since the whole world mourned for him just like they did for Elvis, Diana, and Anna Nicole. And like them he too suffered heat from the media, becoming a victem of their slander, ridicule, awful rumors, accusations and greed. Heck I even made fun of him myself, and I feel abit bad about it, though it was mostly comparing him to orochimaru or his appearence towards the end. (Come on he WAS abit scary to look during 2002 to 2003 but yeah blame Joe jackson for that when he said he had a big @$$ nose and calling MJ ugly all the time, some father e_e)
Dispite what he did or did not do; he broke the boundries of the music world and changed it forever and though he may be gone from the earth, his spirit will live on forever, moonwalking into the hearts if millions and belting out his famous songs of smooth gangsters, Stalking groupies, women claiming they have his child, healing the world, screaming at the media with his sister, Thriller nights filled with dancing zombies, not wanting to be a color, and about the man in the mirror....
May you finally be at peace Micheal away from the vultures that are the media, we all love you dearly T_T
RIP
