The Porcelain Shadow

The Porcelain Shadow, Living Statue, or He who casts no shadow; many have bestowed these nicknames upon this mysterious entity. Though his true name is that of Magnus, and he wears the title of "Innoruuk, Prince of Oblivion" and as you may have already suspected, he has deep ties with my other OC Xallirekur. (I think the eye marks, hair, and taste for black kinda give it away neh? xD) What is the connection you ask? Well read on my dear viewer!

Back when Xal had first abandoned the Los Illuminados after being forced to slay his best friend Kovu, he roamed the world for quite some time, furious at the world and at his tainted family history that is his father. A father who severly wounded his mother; leaving her in acoma, and then left Xal for dead (Or as he was still known as; Maverick) after staining him with the powers of darkness. These powers didnt seem to have no effect on Maverick at first...but the growing hatred he had for humanity slowly fed the darkness within and began to attract Heartless. The creatures quickly surrounded and advanced on a wounded and defenseless Maverick. But his will to live was soo great, that he managed to fight off the swarm and survive. But at a cost...he became a nobody. But not just any type of Nobody; a halfling. He still retained part of his heart, thus keeping most of his emotions and soul. He also obtained draconic powers and thrived by the power of the moon very much like Saix. And upon meeting the woman known as Rika; became Xaliirekur; the Oblivion Lunar Dragoon. One would wonder then; what happened to the other half? Well that's where Magnus's story begins.

Not being satisfied by the halfling heart that once belonged to Maverick, the heartless abandoned the heart in the corridors of darkness where it managed to live on as a seperate entity from the rest of the shadows. This was due to the fact the other half of the heart was still vibrant and working well in Xaliirekur. It wandered for some time in the abyss, lost and confused as to why it was left behind when it's other half was still nestled safely inside Xal. The confusion turned to hurt thinking it was abandoned; no longer useful, and then anger, and finally hate. It's hatred was soo strong, it managed then to unknowingly manipulate the planes of darkness and travel to other worlds, and in this case it traveled into the realm of Nosgoth.

The Elder God instantly brought the lost little halfling heart to it's realm, knowing that it held promise much like Raziel then when he himself thirsted for revenge. And so like with Raziel; he promised the remnant heart a chance at revenge upon Xaliirekur as his new angel of death. The heart complied, and was born anew..givin a new body that matched Xaliirekur's to a T, but with the souless eyes of a wraith, and the marble skin of a statue. And of course, a hunger for souls much like his predecessor. With that he became "Innoruuk, Prince of Oblivion." Or as he much rather prefers, Magnus. A name that his father wished for Xaliirekur back when he was called Maverick. Complying with the Elder God's wishes; Magnus roamed the world of Nosgoth, devouring all who were the children of Kain's dark empire, and sating the greedy gullet of the giant squid. Though once Raziel stepped in after his 500 year imprisonment and began to tamper with time; drawing the Elder God's attention, Magnus chose that time to excercise his dark powers, and thus leave the world of Nosgoth in search of his betrayer, Xaliirekur.

Although he looks like Xal in many ways, there are great differences between them might I point out. For one, though Xal is fullhardy, abit naive, and a womanizer at heart; Magnus is a different story. Cold, calculating, cunning, and ruthless; he truely lives up to the title of 'living statue' due to the fact he acts like one. Considering he has an expression one would only see on ancient statues, with skin as pale as their's. Only potraying a sullen or otherwise emotionless demeanor towards others, he is rarely surprised or angered. That is due to the fact he lacks all the positive qualites in one's heart. Considering Xal had kept most of those emotions within his half during the seperation. And since Xal managed to keep his soul, that would leave Magnus soulless too; probly explaining why he thrists for souls much more than Raziel. (Who still has his btw..it's the soul reaver hehe xP) Although revived as a soul eater by the Elder God; if it had been any other entity that revived him, one could speculate he probly would have been hungry for souls either way, considering he pines for filling the void where his soul should be, very much like how Heartless and nobodies devour hearts for the same reasons. So yeah, in terms of personality, this guy makes Sasuke and Ulluiqurra look like peppy cheerleaders! xP

But anyways, if ya made it this far; ya gets a cookah! =D
and if you are wondering where the outfit style came from, it was based alittle off of the villian's outfit in the psx game "Vagrant Story." I just adored the way the outfit hugged his form yet showed off plenty of chest and back but left plenty of sleeve.
