Shmups fanart: Axelay

Axelay by Konami for the Super Nintendo. This game has a good story for a shoot-em up. It's another alien invading earth but the story mainly revolves around the ship Axelay which after months of fighting is the only ship left to defeat the aliens. Also the pilot recently lost his family and I take it that the aliens are at fault. So now, filled with vengeance, the Axelay takes off to destroy the alien hordes for good.
