Shmup Fanart: Darius series

My sixth monthly shmup fanart is Darius by Taito. Darius is a series of shoot-em ups involving the Belser's army which is made up of aquatic, somewhat robotic species. The ones to mainly defeat Belsers army are the Silver Hawks that were first piloted by Proco and Tiat.

The overall plot of the series is that after leaving earth for a new planet, explorers discovered a new planet they named Darius. With earth now ruined, this was a new home but soon they were attacked by Belsers army. Humanity fought hard but needed more power. From whatever scraps of the enemy they took, they discovered a new power and decided to build a new weapon: The Silver Hawks. The Silver Hawks vary from game to game but are practically the same. They fire lasers and fire and drop missiles. Later games give them special bombs to use. They are mainly two main Hawks, a red and blue one though in two games (Darius Twin and Darius Force) there is a green one. There are occasional yellow ones but are not as powerful.
