The Sonic I once knew

It appears that all Sonic fanart in this site is for the new one but I'm an old-school gamer. My Sonic is the one from the Genesis era. The one with big eyes, short quills, and a chubby round body. That's the Sonic I grew up with.

I was playing with Sonic Gems Collection and in the museum I saw a picture of Sonic sitting in the middle of the street waiting for the bus and thought to myself "That's the Sonic I know and love" so I decided to draw that particular picture.

Sonic is still the same in my opinion, but there's something about the classic Sonic that I love so much.
