I did not think of her eyes as a problem, since she is simply looking out of the frame.Did you mean that if she was looking at the sword it would be out of perspective? Did you mean that the sword floating throws off the layout of the picture, or that by drawing it floating makes it look unbalanced at a ground level? I think what you are seeing is more of a character design flaw, since I actually like the floating sword, as it would have looked even worse for the sword to have weight compared to her small frame.
I suppose it looks like Ichigo's blade, but don't all giant swords? Haha... Thank you for commenting.

It was supposed to have a certain levitational feel to it.The reason it looks suspended is because the ribbon attached to the sword has no strain on it, and yet, the sword is in the air.
I also purposely didn't draw a shadow on the sword, for a feeling of lack for terra firma.
But, if you think it detracts from the picture, perhaps I should redraw it touching the ground...
What do you think?

there's something very unnatural about that tiny little girl and that huge sword... i can't quite put my finger on itthe sword seems suspended in the air without really any real support
other than that it's a very well-drawn piece
