Fire Starters Gen 4

The fire starter Pokémon of my fourth Generation, which have a stronger relation to coal rather than fire. All based on black bears and Koaldiak is slightly based on a blacksmith.

Type: Fire
Description: It was discovered in old coal mines in America. They feed off berries, but will also breath in chemicals in the air such as city pollution and coal dust. They convert those into the coal pieces on their bodies.

Type: Fire
Description: The belt of coal on its body amplifies its fire attack. However due to their position, it takes time for it to spit their flames. Their fur contains traces of coal, and brushing against it can leave stains or clouds of coal, making it hard to breathe.

Location: Not in wild. Occasionally used by challenging trainers.
Type: Fire
Description: During evolution, the coal pieces dispersed around its body to balance the power. It has a fire proof double fur coat: now that they're powerful enough to fend off most attackers, it leaves the coal mine which was used as a den and lives in forests that tend to be struck by frequent forest fires. After feeding off all they can of the flames, they'll put it out with ashes. This is where the idea of "Smokey Bear" came from.
