Despite his clown like appearance, Ariadown is far from funny or jolly. His sense of humor is creepy and his laughter terrifying. Bored with the old tricks (juggling, tightropes...), he uses his Death Note to amuse himself. He would occasionally give heart attacks to race car drivers and watch the race plunge into disaster. Ariadown also likes to eat pies, and is fairly intelligent.
