Eclipse As Himself

This picture is mostly a way to shove his biography in here (since no one ever reads my stories). Eclipse's expression SCREAMS "Why hello, I'm a douchebag." In the picture, I've drawn him in his old outfit (old implying that he is not a werewolf). He is also at the point of middle-age, which is how old he is CURRENTLY (fifty-three, I think).

Origin

Eclipse the Hedgebat was a stupid idea I had when I was at a stupid age. Middle school. Ugh. Most of the ideas I had at that time were idiotic, now that I look back (save for Bob the Intruder, but you guys never got a glimpse at him). I created a comic which I filled into a white binder called "The Condemned Comic", named after the main antagonist at the time, Condemned, a demon spirit that feeds on the negative emotions of the hosts he possesses, and then inhabits. But we're not talking about Condemned right now. We're talking about Eclipse.

History

Eclipse is the son of Rouge the Bat, and Shadow the Hedgehog. Still an infant, a badger named Devon Inderretta, the CEO of a weapons company, framed Shadow for murder (after Inderretta went nuts from becoming possessed by the same type of demon that Condemned is - a demekarr). Inderretta then proceeded to send corrupt policemen after Shadow, telling them to kill anyone with him, if not the hedgehog himself.

Sonic the Hedgehog, who had been appointed to be Eclipse's godfather, had received word of the police unit's mission, and immedietally called Shadow, telling him to get out of his home, and escape with his family to Sonic's house, for until the whole thing blows over.

In the middle of the night, as Shadow, and Rouge (holding Eclipse) snuck out to Sonic's house, they were caught by the police unit. They tried to escape, but got caught in an alley. Rouge was shot, and killed, and Shadow was forced to hide Eclipse away in an different alley, knowing the corrupt policemen would kill the pup too, if they got the chance. Shadow had to remain in hiding for eighteen years.

In those eighteen years' time, Eclipse had grown up, surviving by joining various gangs, but always winding up getting kicked out for his poor temper-control.

Once particular group, called the Night Owls was a traumatizing experience for Eclipse, because of what they made him experience at a young age. He was especially prone to be subject to pedophilia from one member, Gyro - a gargoyle.

After reaching the age of 18, Eclipse was kicked out of the last group he could join. Infuriated, Eclipse blamed his unknown-to-him father for abandoning him. This, in turn, attracted the attention of Condemned, who possessed Eclipse, and turned him, for the first time, into his powerful demon form.

After being found by Sonic, and learning to control his powers, and the demon that caused them, Eclipse met Lightning and Twilight, and joined the large group known as Hybrid Nation. There, he had his only son, Luminosidade (Luminos for short) with his wife, Rosette.

Ten years later - the start of the Hybrid/Pureblood war broke out - a civil war between the hybrid mobians, and the rascist "purebloods". Luminos was drafted to join the purebloods, who were using hybrids as a reinforcement group.

In the heat of the war, while Eclipse was away to help in a particular battle, Rosette was assassinated by a shapeshifter known as Incogneto (the same shapeshifter who was involved in Shadow's framing). Though this discouraged Eclipse, he continued to fight in the war, now more determined than ever to help end it.

Much later in the war, Luminos was killed by the purebloods themselves, when they found out about the uncontrollable demon that inhabited the hedgetigerat, Vorace (Condemned's demon spawn). Vorace managed to take over Luminos' dead body, and use it as a base for his own, new body. It was at this time, when Vorace gained intelligence, and revealed to the mourning group that he was not like other demekarrs - he didn't want to kill.

For some time, Eclipse was unable to accept Vorace as a mobian, both because he subconciously thought of Vorace as the cause of his son's death, and also because he was convinced that all demekarrs were evil, and that there were no acceptions. This was fixed later, when Vorace finally proved himself a good being to Eclipse, by showing true love to Luminos's love interest (before death), Skye, Lightning and Twilight's Daughter.

Later, after Vorace and Skye assassinated the commander of the pureblood army, the war finally ended.

Now in his old age, Sonic met his untimely death, after
rescuing two children from a fire. Illegal explosives had been stacked up in the building (possibly what caused the fire in the first place), and, trapped in the building, they combusted, instantly burning, and killing Sonic. The death damaged Eclipse's mental state greatly, depressing his normal mood to the point in which it seemed like he didn't smile anymore.

Things were made worse when Inderretta released a gas in the air, that accidentally gave Condemned total control over the city's demekarrs, and their hosts. The damage that the takeover caused was phenominal, destroying two full cities, and Knothole Village. It was at the same time as the takeover that it was revealed that Shadow (who had joined Hybrid Nation much earlier) was not Shadow at all, but an android replica of him, created by Inderretta (now also a robot, himself), and secretly replacing Shadow with the 'droid after Shadow was shot, and killed in the Hybrid/Pureblood war. For Eclipse, that was the straw that broke the camel's back. The hedgebat decided that he had to replace all of his sorrow, and even all of his EMOTIONS with pure, seething anger. He figured that, if he was moping around, he couldn't move on. He couldn't keep fighting.

After the damage done in the demekarr takeover, Condemned regained his conscience (even helping destroy the demekarrs), and even used Eclipse to have a child with Ryu, the queen of Hell.

So far, this is all that has happened.

Personality Through the Years

Age 18, The beginning: Stubborn, easily angered, but still managing to keep a good sense of humor (if not sometimes twisted). Around friends, he can be protective, and caring of their well-being.

Luminos's childhood: Happy, still stubborn, more easy-going. This is the peak of Eclipse's life.

The War: Angry, and rude. Sometimes, even impatient, and pushy. At times, he can come off as "cold" to people who don't know him. At this time, he starts to develop a minor case of paranoia.

Sonic's Death: All anger has been consumed by pure sorrow. He is antisocial, often hiding away in his room, and playing on his lute. He very rarely smiles. Still paranoid.

Demekarr Takeover, Shadow's Death Revealed: Replaces all sadness with rage, thinking that this will keep him going. In reality, this is eating him up from the inside. His paranoia has fully developed, and he sleeps with a gun hidden under his bed. With friends, he has trouble maintaining a conversation with someone without it ending up in an angry, chaotic mess. The only person he can talk to without this problem is his friend, Mikenno.

Main Relationships

Shadow the Hedgehog: Even though Shadow was Eclipse's father, Eclipse doesn't feel the way he thinks he SHOULD feel towards the hedgehog. Though Eclipse does harbor some natural son-to-father love towards Shadow, he can't seem to connect with him. Most likely caused from Eclipse's early separation with Shadow at an early age.

Shadow Android: Eclipse feels the same way towards the android as he did towards his real father.

Sonic the Hedgehog: Though Sonic is only Eclipse's godfather, Eclipse sees Sonic as the father figure. Sonic had helped out, and connected more with Eclipse, building a relationship with the hedgebat before Shadow could. After Sonic's tragic death, Eclipse would sometimes visit the hedgehog's grave, and talk to it. When Sonic returned as an angel, Eclipse continued a happy relationship with his godfather.

Rosette the Tiger: Eclipse loved Rosette, and was very protective of her. Though Rosette could, indeed, fend for herself, Eclipse still felt the need to protect her. When Rosette died, Eclipse was devastated, and blamed himself.

Luminos the Hedgetigerat: Eclipse never got a chance t see Luminos grow up, because of the war that seperated the father and son, but his relationship with Luminos is almost identical to Rosette's.

Twilight the Echidwolf (Belongs to Mechadragon13): Throughout most of his life, Eclipse saw Twilight as a very good friend. They had helped each other out many times over, but the relationship became awkward after the demekarr takeover, when Twilight found out that Eclipse harbored secret feelings for her, which had developed over time.

Lightning the Hedgewolf (Belongs to Mechadragon13): Eclipse's relationship with Lightning started out like Twilight's, but slowly went downhill, after Eclipse grew a secret jealousy of Lightning, who was Twilight's husband. Eclipse can sometimes, accidentally end up being extremely harsh towards Lightning, who does fight back.

Mikenno the Demon (Belongs to Mechadragon13): Mikenno is Eclipse's long-time best friend. The demon always manages to keep himself on good terms with Eclipse, even after the hedgebat became bitter, and angry. Eclipse feels that Mikenno always seems to say the right thing every time he gets worked up, or upset. Sometimes, it is Mikenno that stops a fight from occurring between Eclipse, and another member.
