Guess who's back? Now this is quite impressive. The fiery aurora and the way it look like its flying at up at a pretty high speed are quite good. The feet are okay, but bird feet are hard in general. The wings, the tail, and the chest puff are beautifully done. The wings look a bit tilreted though, since the phoenix's right wing looks so much closer. The coloring of this fie bird is all around, very good. You used oranges, reds, and yellows all very effectively to give the bird some texture. Still, I don't like the simply blackend background, but its okay. The one thing that really hurt the phoenix was it neck. It looks to scrawny for something as magestic and as powerful as a phoenix. I would have imagined a shorer neck, or one that long but thicker, and puffier, like that of an eagle. The quail like feathers on t he head was a nuce touch, but it might have looked better if t was much longer, say up to its tail. The beak could looked a little bit shaper, but its still pretty good. The only other thing that bugger me was the fact that where the wing curves up on the its right wing, it has a nice patch of yellow feathers, but on the other side it does not. Still, it is a very good phoenix, and it is very thoughful of you to draw this in honor of Phoenix bird's birthday. I question the choice of choosing yellow for the eye color, but it is a peice you should be proud of.
